The involvement of people affected by or at risk of poverty in poverty policy measures and projects as well as their evaluation is an effective approach and requires a differentiated understanding of poverty and participation along with suitable evaluation instruments and indicators to measure the potential impact. This thesis is outlined in the article based on two participatory evaluation projects in Switzerland. In addition, the opportunities and conditions for evaluation have been elaborated through the inclusion of people affected by and at risk of poverty.
