Abstract
Many wood species are affected by climate change. For example, increased insect infestations and diseases have already appeared which results in a declining amount of available species and resources. Therefore, sustainable modification of the local resilient wood is needed, to improve the properties of the wood and compensate unavailability of the species used historically. One way to modify wood is through densification.
