In a previously unpublished letter to Johann Peter Pixis, Ignaz Moscheles provides information about his adaptation of the recipient's compositions for publication in England. These "critical commentary", illustrated with examples and explanations, is compared with the surviving Paris and London printed music and commented on in detail.
