Abstract
The paper deals with the minimization of the neutral point ripple on NPC and ANPC converters. The method is based on optimization techniques. It is particularly useful for minimizing the ripple and thus dc-bus requirements on drive systems operating at low and medium fundamental frequency. It is validated in simulation and experimentally for the control of a GaN ANPC converter.
