Smart Participation in a Smart City: Implementation and Experiences Using the Example of the City of St. Gallen

In the context of the preparation presented in this article, the internal perspective of the administration on the modernization process in the area of participation is to be taken. This is done as part of an autoethnographic approach, as the author worked as Chief Digital Officer in the City of St. Gallen from 10/2017 to 08/2023 and was instrumental in driving forward the introduction of the digital participation platform.
