Abstract
Our selective literature review summarizes the articles to date that have examined crowdfunding in the pages of JBVI (see Table 1). We highlight three themes that encapsulate key contributions to the crowdfunding and entrepreneurship literatures, namely, factors relating to the entrepreneur or entrepreneurial team, aspects of the specific campaign, and elements of crowdfunding platforms.
