Development of a quality management plan for timber bridges

The Swiss State Secretariat for Education Research and Innovation SERI in conjunction with the European Cooperation in Science and Technology COST allows applying for research projects dealing with scientific problems in relation to a COST Action. Therefore a research project application was submitted within this framework. The background, content, objectives and relation to the COST Action TU 1406 will be given in this paper. The presentation of the project already during its application phase will ensure a direct link and most effective knowledge exchange for both, the project and the COST Action. The results will also directly be exchanged.
