Abstract
This keynote aimed to outline the latest methodological insights in research focusing on families experiencing acute-critical illness from the perspective of a patient, a family member, patient advocate and a participatory researcher. It helped build and expand collaborations between researchers, clinicians, and innovators involved in patient and family engagement as well as implementation and participatory research.
