Abstract
Within our framework to measure overall organizational creativity, various dimensions have been included as probable drivers and enablers. Office space design is one of them. Many scholars and practitioners assume a positive or a negative influence, depending on the spatial setup. Nevertheless, the impact of workspace design on creativity is far from being soundly tested and statistically proven. Based on an in-depth literature review of various qualitative studies related to that subject, an online questionnaire including 21 space specific items has been developed to measure and better understand the influence of this organizational creativity factor. The main contribution of this research note will be a first reporting on this newly developed scale, which aims at the assessment of different space parameters with regard to creativity. The pre-test is still ongoing. First findings will be included in the presentation of this research note at the CINet Conference 2020.
