Abstract
This film is part of Fatima Zahra-Lakrissa’s Carte Blanche
In his experimental short film, Swiss director Gilles Aubry explores seaweed and pollution on the Moroccan Atlantic coast. The film is an attempt to “listen” to pollution and to its effects on coastal life. As the main character hums, sings, breathes, and silently interacts with algae, a new aquatic body emerges, opening transcorporeal and interspecies speculations.
