Abstract
This chapter has been made available under a CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.FLUXUS.GRAM is a contemporary activation of historical Fluxus principles developed by the Swiss art collective Com&Com within the research project Activating Fluxus (2022–26). Drawing on core Fluxus concepts—such as the score, the Fluxkit and decentralized distribution—FLUXUS.GRAM reimagines the Fluxkit as a participatory, digital platform hosted on Instagram. The project merges artistic research, digital publication and curatorial strategies to explore preservation through activation. Featuring both historical and newly commissioned scores, the platform invites public engagement, encouraging users to perform, document and share their activations. In doing so, FLUXUS.GRAM positions itself as a living archive and a pedagogical tool that expands Fluxus into contemporary contexts beyond traditional art institutions. By embracing the participatory ethos of Fluxus and adapting it to digital culture, the project preserves, and reinvents, Fluxus as a vital, networked and inclusive artistic practice—demonstrating how some of its principles can continue to challenge, connect and evolve across media, generations and lifeworlds.
