Abstract
The Timber Structures 3.0 Technology (TS3) is new high performing solution to compete with concrete and steel constructions. The TS3 technology is a special butt joint for onsite gluing of a biaxial floor systems of unlimited size. The paper focus on the slimming the floor systems. Instead of using cross laminated slabs newly developed bi-axial load transferring grid boxes also made of timber will be used. The aim is to achieve the most even load transfer in both load bearing directions. For this purpose, symmetrical and asymmetrical structures/layer sequences are tested as well as the influence of different web crossing configurations. Bending and shear stiffness as well as the vibration have been analysed for single beam elements and full scale multi web elements.
