Tractors are often only compared with each other in terms of power output. This is not enough, according to Roger Stirnimann from the HAFL (School of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences), Zollikofen in Switzerland. In September 2020, he therefore presented a categorisation proposal for standard tractors in the “eilbote” (issues 36 and 37/2020). The aim: A raster based on simple criteria offering improved size comparability between model series from different tractor manufacturers. Due to the great response, the proposal has now been translated into English to make it accessible to an even more international audience.
