Der Trend zu mehr Regionalität im Biermarkt eröffnet die Chance, die Malzproduktion, welche in den 1980er Jahren eingestellt wurde, wieder anzukurbeln. Genau das tut die IG Mittellandmalz und baut mittlerweile auf über 159 ha Schweizer Braugerste an.
