300 years of European String Making. On the basis of the historic sources and the recipes handed down in them, the oral history, through my frank experimentation and combination, I tried to uncover the secret of good sheep gut string, to understand the old craftmanship, and to develop from all these components a gut string that can meet the modern demands of the musician.
